Hallmark Salon exhibition opened at Somerset House yesterday for a five day run. Assay Office Birmingham was pleased to attend a buzzing  Private View and meet with some of the very talented jewellers and silversmiths showing there. Well done to the two Birmingham Jewellery Quarter Silversmiths who committed to attend, Andrew Macgowan and Louise Mary. The show is open at West Wing Somerset House until Saturday 28th June. Stephen Goldsmith @goldpolisher and his students attending a 4 day polishing course at Birmingham School of Jewellery @SoJ_BCU took a short walk from the school to Assay Office Birmingham at lunchtime today and were treated to a guided tour of the  assaying (testing) and hallmarking floors.
