Michael Allchin: Birmingham Assay Office Professor Marylyn Carrigan, Coventry University Centre for Trust and Ethical Behaviour Alan Frampton: Cred Jewellery Gary Wroe: Hockley Mint Â
Presentation  Prepared - Check, Venue Prepared - Check, CE & Assay Master Prepared - Double Check!!  2014 is the Hallmarking year of the  date letter "P"  and we are now "P" for PREPARED. Everyone is now off to set up at the Birmingham School of Jewellery, a fitting venue for Michael Allchin's last annual hallmarking review to the jewellery and precious metal trade.
The victims tend to be vulnerable people who are persuaded to âinvestâ by continual sales pressure, usually by telephone and this unpleasant practice causes major financial loss and significant distress. There are of course legitimate companies offering genuine investments but there are several who set out to deliberately exploit people. SafeGuardâs integrity and independence mean it is perfectly placed to offer an impartial and totally independent expert opinion. …
It promises to be one to remember as Michael Allchin will present the annual review for the last time before he retires from his role as Chief Executive & Assay Master of Assay Office Birmingham. Stella Layton CE and Assay Master designate will be present along with hallmarking staff members.
