Assay Office Birmingham has compiled the latest UK Hallmarking figures for the month of August 2015. Another difficult month for hallmarking numbers with the total number of articles hallmarked across all four Assay Offices down 12.4% in August compared to the same month in 2014. Gold articles hallmarked were down 8.5% whilst Silver was down 17.0%, both mirroring a very similar position in the month of July. However Platinum articles were up 3.1% and Palladium up 14.9%.
