Thank you to all those who came to the Public Consultation today to view the plans for the NEW Birmingham Assay Office. The "GateWay" project design team were able to show plans and a 3D simulation of the new building's aspects as well as explain the plans in more detail on a one to one basis.
The Assay Office Library contains a fascinating collection of books relating to William Morris and the Pre-Raphaelites, including Mackail's two-volume biography. The Library also contains works about Sir Edward Burne-Jones and other artists working in the Pre-Raphaelite style.
