Birmingham is basking in a heatwave and the population of the Jewellery Quarter including many Assay Office Birmingham staff are enjoying the free lunchtime musical entertainment supported by the Jewellery Quarter Development Trust

In preparation for the 30th Birmingham International Jazz and Blues Festival, a special bandstand has been erected in St Paul’s Square.

 Talented musicians from all over the world are be stepping up to the platform to preform electrifying jazz music in all different styles ranging from ragtime to dixieland. Gifted bands and musicians will be preforming at noon for five days this week in St Paul’s Square (21st – 25th July), as well as a special evening performance from The Broombusters at 5pm Friday. St Paul’s Churchyard, St Paul's Square, Birmingham is definitely the place to be on such a wonderful, sunny day. Don’t forget to tweet your photos and videos of the jazz fun to @JQDTbirmingham.
