Would you like to see behind the scenes at Assay Office Birmingham and learn more about Hallmarking? Our half-day Understanding Hallmarking event takes place on 11^th June and provides a unique opportunity to visit the Hallmarking Floor which is not usually open to the public. During a special guided tour you will see how Hallmarks are applied to precious metal items and jewellery and have the chance to âhave a goâ at Hallmarking. The event is ideal for those working in the jewellery or precious metal trades, collectors and members of the public who would like to learn more about Hallmarking, including the history of Hallmarking in the UK and current legislation. The event costs Â£75 per person plus VAT. It provides three hours of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activity.
