The first General Public visit to the Private Silver Collection at Assay Office Birmingham takes place on Tuesday 25th February and although there are still tickets available for the afternoon session the morning visit has less than half a dozen places left.
 Â
This will be one of the last chances to see the silver collection in the historic surrounds of the present Assay Office as the organisation has plans to move into a contemporary purpose built building in the heart of the Jewellery Quarter.
The morning visits start at 11.00am and the afternoon visit starts at 2.00pm.  Visitors will receive a warm welcome as well as coffee/tea and biscuits.  You will be able to learn about the history of hallmarking and The Birmingham Assay Office before having an opportunity to see our private silver collection and well appointed Library.  There is also an opportunity at the end of the visit to purchase silver items that have been made in Birmingham as well as books and cards in the Gift Shop.
To book your place call 0871 871 6020 or email silver@theassayofice.co.uk  A charge of £12 per person is payable in advance and is non-refundable.
Places are still available on the other General Public days this year - Monday 28th April and Thursday 26th June.
We look forward to seeing you.
