The Birmingham Assay Office has been delighted with the success of its latest APP - Help With Hallmarks which has seen hundreds of downloads from all over the World in just a few short weeks since its release. The success of the APP shows just how much international interest there is in UK Hallmarks and jewellery and silverware that bear the Unique BRITISH HALLMARK. Available on both iPhone and iPad as well as Android devices, the APP enables users to quickly research and identify the date letter on precious metal, jewellery and silverware. The App includes date letters from the eleven key assay offices in the UK, going back as far as 1544.

The Help with Hallmarks App follows on from the AnchorCert Gemstone Weight Estimator APP which has been available for a couple of years and has sold worldwide on both Apple and Android platforms. In a couple of clicks the Anchorcert GemAdd Mediastone Weight Estimator can easily calculate the estimated carat weight of diamonds & gemstones from their measurements.  The calculation will use the measurement of the length, width and depth of the gemstone (and the minimum and maximum diameter of round brilliant diamonds.)
