Central News have been at The Birmingham Assay Office this morning, filming the testing (assaying) and hallmarking of silver jewellery items made by Rev Mary Gilbert, the Vicar of St Paulâs Church, here in the Jewellery Quarter.

Mary recently registered with The Birmingham Assay Office for hallmarking after completing a jewellery making course at the Midlands Art Centre (MAC) Jewellery Studios.
The studios were refurbished in 2010 following sponsorship by The Birmingham Assay Office.
