Book your place on the last but one Understanding Hallmarking course for 2013 which will take place on 15th October at The Birmingham Assay Office. This Half-day event provides a unique opportunity to go behind the scenes and visit the Hallmaking Floor at the Birmingham Assay Office, which is not usually open to the public. During a special guided tour you will see how Hallmarks are applied to precious metal items and jewellery and have the chance to 'have a go' at hallmarking. Applying a Hallmark edit The session is ideal for those working in the jewellery or precious metal trades, jewellery and antiques collectors, as well as members of the public who would like to learn more about hallmarking, including the history of hallmarking in the UK and current legislation. The event provides three hours of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Activity.
