The Birmingham Assay Office was pleased to welcome four delegates from HMRCâs Shares and Assets division for a bespoke training course in June. The day incorporated theory and practical sessions on precious metal finenesses, touch acid testing, the melting process and XRF testing.Â
One of the delegates commented: âThe team found the course excellent, well delivered and relevant to the work we carry out.â
This course follows a bespoke event on Hallmarking that was organised for Warwickshire Trading Standards in November 2012, with a second cohort of staff due to take part in similar training in November of this year.Â
