The TSI annual Conference is currently taking place in Brighton and The Birmingham Assay Office is very much a part of it.
The event is considered the leading event in the field of consumer affairs and trading standards and is now in its 119th year.
It provides the perfect opportunity for professionals and organisations to come together to discuss issues that impact on all consumers and businesses in the UK.
Marion Wilson, Marketing Director of The Birmingham Assay Office attended the exhibiton and various seminars on 18th June.

Marion also attended the Awards Dinner which was held in the Skyline Restaurant at the Brighton Centre. The evening began with a drinks reception followed by a very scrumptious three course dinner!
After the dinner, The British Hallmarking Council and the four Assay Offices of the UKÂ were delighted to announce North Ayrshire Council as the winners of the Touchstone Award 2013.
British Hallmarking Council Chairman Christopher Jewitt also recognised the London Borough of Southwark and North Lanarkshire whose entries were Highly Commended by the judges.
This is the second annual presentation of this prestigious award to acknowledge the excellent work of local authorities in support of hallmarking.
North Ayrshire are now the proud custodians of the Touchstone Award for a year and their team will benefit from a free dayâs training and an awards lunch at Goldsmithsâ Hall, in the City of London, in November.
The Birmingham Assay Office were delighted to sponsor this years UK Consumer Challange Quiz.
The competition tests pupils on their knowledge of shopping rights and responsibilities, personal finance, food matters, safety, and other consumer issues.

On Wednesday 19th June The Birmingham Assay Offices's Marketing Director Marion Wilson and Marketing Manager Penny Parkes attended the exhibition and seminars and discussed the work of The Birmingham Assay Office and the work Trading Standards do to protect consumers.
