EXPERT ANALYSIS ACROSS A RANGE OF SECTORS

After the theft of the Assay Office name plaque earlier this year, local bullion dealer Eamon Gaughan from the Bullion Room generously offered the wherewithal to replace it. A design competition was duly launched and after considering all entries the judges finally declared the winner as Faye Grove, one of the Assay Office’s own hand hallmarking team. [caption id="attachment_3196" align="alignleft" width="353"] Plaque winner Faye Grove[/caption] Faye’s design caught the eye of the judges as it was three dimensional and contemporary while also being clearly legible.  The plaque is being produced in the traditional Jewellery Quarter style, using a handful of specialists to cast, spin and engrave the various components. The final product will be fixed very firmly to the wall.
