Tanzanites remain popular and some of the large,
better quality stones command very high prices.
It is universally accepted that all tanzanites are heat treated to create the vivid shades of violet or indigo which are so attractive. However, there are also other enhancements, which should be disclosed, specifically cobalt coating which is a surface treatment to strengthen the colour. In response to demand from its customers, AnchorCert has now added an A5 size report for loose Tanzanites to its portfolio of services, to provide an alternative to the Mini report, which can be provided for loose or mounted stones, and the full A4 sized report.
