SafeGuard were pleased to participate in a recent Goldsmithsâ conference to emphasise the current potential for selling valuations.
With gold and diamond prices remaining high there is an unprecedented opportunity for valuation sales, and the information provided to delegates offered plenty of food for thought. Some specific examples of how much an article could have appreciated in value over the past five years reinforced the message.

After a presentation by Chief Executive of The Birmingham Assay Office, Michael Allchin, Safeguard Marketing Co-ordinator Kelly Fisher, and Marketing Manager Penny Parkes were on hand to explain the different type of jewellery, watch & silverware valuations available. These essentially fall into three categories, insurance replacement, probate and sale between parties. Each category is approached differently by valuers and it is important that the customerâs requirements are fully understood in order to deliver the appropriate service.
The event was very well received by Goldsmithsâ staff, who all left with renewed confidence and enthusiasm for selling valuations and repairs services.
