The Queen visits Birmingham during her Diamond Jubilee Tour on Thursday 12th July and Kay Alexander Chairman of The Birmingham Assay Office will present Her Majesty with a silver âInvestment Bowlâ on behalf of the City of Birmingham.
The bowl, commissioned by The Birmingham Assay Office, was made by local
silversmith Andrew Macgowan, based in Frederick Street in the heart of the Quarter.Â

On Wednesday 11th July Andrew Macgowan and Michael Allchin, Chief Executive of The Birmingham Assay Office visited Free Radio to discuss the investment bowl which will be presented to the Queen during to her visit to Birmingham.
All of the staff at Free Radio also took photographs to Birmingham gift to the Queen and were very impressed with the quality of the workmanship.
