The 2012 ACJ Exhibition will be staged at The School of Jewellery in Birmingham from 12th to 30th March, then tour to North Glasgow College (and possibly another venue too)
The theme is 'Diamond Jubilee' which allows a wide range of interpretation.
Criteria:
* Neither diamonds nor prceious metals are necessary.
* Nominally one piece per marker, this could extend to a pair, set or parure as long as this is a coherent and related set.
* The piece(s) must be wearable in some form and you may exploit the full definitions of jewellery and body adornment, and further explore and push these boundaries.
*We challenge you to surprise and delight the viewer with a celebratory piece!
The exhibiton will be juried by a distinguished panel including Corrine Julius and other knowledgeable industry experts, chaired by Professor Jack Cunningham.
The jury will consider the quality & design of your previous work and the design proposal for your suggested exhibition piece.
It is intended to publish a web catalogue, and it may well be possible to print this through a company such as Blurb books. We intend to organise a professional photographer for this purpose. Successful members will pay a participation fee and will receive a high definition photo for their own use.
Submission:
* 5 photographs of your work. Photos should be a jpg file, resolution 300dpi, maximum size 1Mb
* A proposal in photo or sketch form as a jpg file (300dpi, max 1mb)
* Statement of 250 words or fewer as a .doc
* All of these on a clearly labelled CD with an SAE for return
