Senior Business Development Manager, Marie Brennan, will be giving a talk at GIA's Gemstone Gathering on Wednesday 14th September at 4:15PM.

The presentation will give an overview of the history of Assay Office Birmingham and its role today, 243 years after it was founded in 1773, together with a round up on Hallmarking in the UK today.

Marie Brennan is the Senior Business Development Manager responsible for business development within the five operational divisions within Assay Office Birmingham, namely, Hallmarking, AnchorCert Analytical Laboratory, AnchorCert Gemmological Laboratory, SafeGuard Jewellery and Watch Valuations and AnchorCert Academy.

Marie has spent 30 years in the jewellery industry. Prior to joining the Assay Office in 2003, Marie spent 17 years with the British Allied Trades Federation where she held a number of posts before being appointed its General Manager in 1997.
