EXPERT ANALYSIS ACROSS A RANGE OF SECTORS

The National Association of Jewellers (NAJ) has attracted national media coverage following their bid to support and celebrate the UK jewellery trade with the possible launch of a Made In The UK hallmark.

NAJ Chief Executive, Michael Rawlinson is quoted in the Daily Mail article, saying: “‘It is about promoting British-made manufacturing and design. It will add value to give provenance of the piece. The British name carries kudos in overseas markets.”

The move has also been welcomed by Assay Office Birmingham CEO & Assay Master, Stella Layton: “The opportunity to create a Made In Britain mark is one that we believe should be grasped and championed by the UK jewellery industry. We would support it wholly and believe that there is definitely an appetite and desire from consumers to celebrate home-grown talent, skill and expertise.”
