Assay Office Birmingham has compiled the latest UK Hallmarking figures for the month of May 2015.

Please find the figures listed below:

Another good month for hallmarking numbers with the total number of articles hallmarked across all four UK Assay Offices in the month of May up 3.1%, an increase of 23,195 articles on the same period in 2014.

9ct gold articles hallmarked fared well again, up 3.7%, whilst gold articles hallmarked overall were up 1.6%. A strong month for silver too with the total number of articles hallmarked up 7.6%. However, the total number of platinum and palladium hallmarked were down on May 2014 with platinum down 13.8% and palladium down 40.5%.
