Assay Office Birmingham's marketing department took a lunch time trip down memory lane as the City took part in the national VE Day Celebrations.
The event in Centenary Square included vintage displays and stalls offering everything from 40's hair styling to home front laundry demonstrations, plus a live girl band for some real 40's style dancing.
There was also a chance to see a Dakota plane (C-47) fly across the Birmingham skyline - wonderful! The planes played a big part in transporting troops during the D-day landings, which helped to end the war.
The event this year celebrates the 70th anniversary of Victory of Europe (VE) Day.
It proved to be a lot of fun and gave a real insight into what it must have been like 70 years ago as the end of war was in sight.
