To open an account, please follow the steps listed below:

You may open an online account with us (MY ANCHORCERT). You will need to log on to our website with your own account log-in name and password to have access to the information stored in your account. Your online account will NOT be linked to any account you may already have with Assay Office Birmingham.

Once you have created your 'My AnchorCert Account', please proceed below to Hallmark Registration and Sponsor Mark Registration.

Complete the Registration Form and Pay for Registration

The standard Registration fee set by the British Hallmarking Council is £60.00 + VAT. Your registration is specifically with Assay Office Birmingham. It will last for a 10 year period. Re-registration is currently £30 + VAT.

2. Complete the Registration form details in full (please read through the terms and conditions before ticking the agreement box)

Click on 'Create Account' once completed

Select your Sponsor Mark – Order your Punch

Your unique sponsor mark provides traceability as your initials, set in a shape unique to you, are a compulsory part of every hallmark struck. It is a legal requirement that all registrations have at least one physical punch. This will be made within two weeks of your sponsor mark being approved and your registration will be complete. The cost of a punch is £70 for two initials or £80 for three initials. Trade marks and variations from the standard shapes are also available and will attract an additional charge.
