EXPERT ANALYSIS ACROSS A RANGE OF SECTORS

Assay Office Birmingham is marking (no pun intended...) National Apprenticeship Week 2015 and nurturing the next generation of up and coming young talent!

The Assay Office currently employs 5 apprentices who are undertaking training in a range of disciplines from Business Administration to Laboratory Chemical Testing and Laser Hallmarking.

Apprenticeships offer a great way of learning on the job as well as gaining industry recognsied qualifications.

See what some of our Apprentices have to say!

Liam Gibbs, Apprentice Laboratory Technician has been in his role since November 2014 and is enjoying every minute of his experience!

"Having an opportunity to learn hands on skills in chemical testing is amazing! One of the main parts of my job is to help carry out tests for Cadmium and Lead in products that come in for testing which is something I find very interesting."

Demi Beddow, who also recently started working in the laboratory with Liam as an Apprentice Laboratory Technician said, "Carrying out the role and being able to go to Sixth Form College enables me to develop more knowledge about what I am doing within the workplace. I am learning a wide variety of skills from different members of the team."

Charlotte Higgins, Human Resources Apprentice Administrator since November 2014 said "Being an Apprentice HR Administrator, I have learnt so much so far and I am looking forward to gaining my qualification once my training has been completed."

Dylan Brush, the latest apprentice to join Assay Office Birmingham, working as a Laser Hallmarking Apprentice said "The opportunity to be part of a unique team of laser markers is something I look forward to learning more about, especially the different software programmes that they use."

Joshua Jones, Marketing Administration Apprentice who will be completing 12 months within his current role at the end of the week said "I enjoy coming into work each day and learning lots of new things. My position holds a lot of responsibility as I look after the growing range of training courses and general public silver collection visits that AnchorCert Academy provides within Assay Office Birmingham. The role is challenging and every day is different, but I wouldn't change it for the world!"

Assay Office Birmingham believes in training for the future and would commend any other business to take a serious look at the benefits of Apprenticeships.
