Assay Office Birmingham were pleased to welcome so many visitors on its final general public Silver Visit of 2014.

The talk and guided silver collection tour was given by Craig O'Donnell, Curator and Valuer at Assay Office Birmingham. Guests were given a talk about the heritage and history of the Assay Office and it how it was originally founded by Matthew Boutlon. They were then taken up through the historic Grade 2 Listed section of the building to view the Silver Collection.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and for purchasing locally crafted Silver items from the Gift Shop. If you missed the chance to reserve a place on the Silver Visits, don't panic as we have 2 FINAL visits coming up in 2015 BEFORE we move to the new building. The final general public Silver Visits take place on Monday 23rd February 2015 and Monday 23rd March 2015. Bookings cost a total of £15.00 pounds per person and availability is limited to a maximum number of 30 people.
