The Analytical Laboratory offers independent expert analysis across a range of sectors. Precious metal analysis is it's traditional specialism but the Analytical Laboratory has also established expertise in testing costume jewellery, watches, fashion accessories, leather goods, textiles, toys and other consumer goods.

Quick, accurate product safety testing from a competent test house is becoming a standard requirement for the fashion jewellery, accessories and textiles industry as more and more health and safety issues emerge. The Analytical Laboratory has responded to this demand by investing and expanding in order to offer a wide range of UKAS accredited tests for fashion jewellery, accessories, textiles and leather. The Laboratory offers flammability testing for toys and other textiles to ensure they are compliant with EU legislation. In addition to this, The Analytical Laboratory offers tests to ensure that products comply with various legislative and quality requirements testing.

IMPORTANT CHRISTMAS TRADING DEADLINES

Don't forget to send your items in to us early to avoid the late Christmas rush!

The Analytical Laboratory will be open until 12:00 noon on Wednesday 24th December. It will then close over the Christmas period and re-open at 8:30am on Friday 2nd January 2015. To receive test results before Christmas – Wednesday 24th December, Samples must be submitted to the Analytical Laboratory by Tuesday 16th December. The ONLY exceptions to this are:

• Full Nickel Release Reference Test To EN1811
• Full ICP Scan
• Crystal Glass Determination Test
• To receive these test results before Christmas – Wednesday 24th December, Samples must be submitted to the Analytical Laboratory by Friday 12th December

Melt & Assaying of Scrap (Gold & Silver) Material submitted by 12 noon on Friday 19th December will be reported by Tuesday 23rd December.
