Sales Administrator

An opportunity to be part of the successful Sales and Marketing department of Assay Office Birmingham.

 We are looking for a Sales Administrator to work in the Sales & Marketing department of Assay Office  Birmingham. This role will be key in supporting the sales team for the five channels of the business including Hallmarking, The Laboratory, SafeGuard, AnchorCert and Training & in their regular communication with customers and prospects. The role will involve ensuring that prospective customers are accurately recorded on to the CRM database following sales visits and to provide support in following up sales leads taken at Trade Exhibitions and other events.  Fully supporting the sales team in distributing sales literature to prospective customers who enquire about our services, making follow up calls by phone and providing administrative support in setting up sales campaigns and monitoring their success.  Additionally there will be a requirement to take and administer bookings for training courses, silver visits and other commercial or corporate events and some general office duties as necessary. We need:
  • An articulate, enthusiastic, reliable, self motivated and well organised individual who is able to work as part of a team as well as on their own initiative.
  • Flexibility, a positive attitude and a willingness to adapt and re-prioritise tasks as circumstances change is important.
  • The successful applicant will be personable and well presented and have some experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent and accurate keyboard and IT skills, knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint are essential.
  • An outgoing personality with good verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer service experience would be an advantage
This a 37.5 hour per week position, over five days.
